The HNG Annual Ticket entitles you to an unlimited number of visits for a year to our museum’s permanent exhibitions and cabinet exhibition.

The HNG Annual Ticket costs HUF 9,000 and is available at half price, for HUF 4,500, for visitors under 26 and over 62.

Something else is lasting: With your season ticket you can return at any time to discover the greatest Hungarian painters: Pál Szinyei Merse, Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka, József Rippl-Rónai, Mihály Munkácsy or Gyula Benczúr. You can browse through the works of our renowned international collection of post-1800 artists, Paul Gauguin, Claude Monet, Gustave Courbet or even Paul Cezanne, and admire the breathtaking panel paintings of the late Gothic winged altars. Whether you know our museum or are visiting for the first time, our affordable annual season tickets offer you a wealth of experiences – no two visits are the same!

How does it work?

• You can purchase the Annual Ticket online at the Jegymester webshop (there is a convenience charge added to the ticket price), on the Liget+ webpage and the museum’s ticket office (no convenience charge added).
• The Annual Ticket is issued to the name provided at the time of purchase, and cannot be transferred. It is only valid together with a photo ID. In the case you intend to buy an annual ticket as a gift, during the purchase please, provide the name of the gifted person, which will appear on the ticket.
  Please note that the Liget+ webshop can provide the annual ticket only for the buyer’s name, so it is not available as a gift.
• The Annual Ticket is valid from the date of issue for 365 days. 
• The Annual Ticket entitles its holder to visit the permanent exhibitions and cabinet exhibitions of the Hungarian National Gallery. The holder of the Annual Ticket has to purchase tickets for the seasonal exhibitions and events requiring special entrance tickets, according to his/her entitlement.
• If you buy your Annual Ticket online, it will be sent to the e-mail address provided during the purchase. The Annual Ticket is valid in printed form or can be presented on your mobile phone, and provides direct access after the code is scanned.

Further advantages:

• If you would like to go on our guided tours either in the permanent or the graphic art exhibitions, you only need to buy a supplementary ticket, since you already have the entrance ticket as an Annual Ticket holder. 🙂
• You can use our extended opening hours every second Friday of every month. You can walk around in the exhibitions until 8 p.m., try out the recommended museum walks and enjoy our immersive art experiences.
• If you come and visit the permanent exhibition when there are queues waiting to the ticket office to get into the seasonal exhibition(s) at the given time, your Annual Ticket entitles you to jump the queue and come in with those with advance tickets.
• You can admire the most beautiful panorama of Budapest from the dome of Buda Castle Palace in any season.
• With your season ticket you can attend classical music concerts organised in our permanent collection for free.
