Decoding Medieval Art

60 minute session for school groups
What do grapes, wheels or storks mean on medieval altars? In medieval art, everything has a symbolic meaning. During the exciting decoding, the stories of biblical characters and saints come to life, while we also gain information about the everyday lives, thinking, and clothing of medieval people.

120 minute session for school groups
Our 120-minute sessions provide an opportunity to develop creativity, experience the freedom of self-expression and creation. For students, the programs take place in the museum’s creative space complement and make the museum visit even more enjoyable.
